{"id":47920,"date":"2020-01-22T16:19:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-22T05:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=47920"},"modified":"2020-01-27T12:30:58","modified_gmt":"2020-01-27T01:30:58","slug":"mlc-life-insurance-ceo-resigns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2020\/01\/22\/mlc-life-insurance-ceo-resigns\/","title":{"rendered":"MLC Life Insurance CEO Resigns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MLC Life Insurance has announced that CEO and Managing Director, <strong>David Hackett,<\/strong> has decided to step down from his role and will be leaving the insurer with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_47921\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-47921\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2020\/01\/david-hackett.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-47921\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2020\/01\/david-hackett.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-47921\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">David Hackett &#8230;departing with immediate effect<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A statement issued by the insurer notes that the MLC Limited board supports his decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe board appreciates David\u2019s strong commitment and contribution to MLC Life Insurance. This has included leading, as the first CEO, its establishment as a standalone life insurer whilst separating from the National Australia Bank and joining the Nippon Life Insurance Group,\u201d the statement says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been a complex and difficult task and has required enormous personal time and energy from David.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis task has been made even more complex by the significant commercial challenges facing the Australian life insurance sector along with major regulatory changes.
