{"id":4823,"date":"2010-02-09T18:32:07","date_gmt":"2010-02-09T08:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=4823"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:08:11","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:08:11","slug":"axa-executive-changes-sales-marketing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/02\/09\/axa-executive-changes-sales-marketing\/","title":{"rendered":"AXA Executive Changes &#8211; Sales &amp; Marketing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AXA Australia continues to implement its strategies with the\u00a0creation of\u00a0three new\u00a0general management roles within its Distribution team.<\/p>\n<p>With immediate effect, the following appointments have been announced:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tim Mitchell Adams<\/strong>: General Manager, Sales<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paul Harrop<\/strong>: General Manager, National Accounts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barry Wyatt<\/strong>: General Manager, Marketing &amp; Strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mr Mitchell Adams will manage the operational elements of AXA&#8217;s national sales teams, including its state-based business development teams, while Mr Harrop&#8217;s brief is to have a greater focus on relationship building, account intelligence and product sales across the current National Accounts segment.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wyatt will be responsible for the operational elements of AXA&#8217;s marketing and strategic support capability, including Platforms, Professional Development, Investment &amp; Research, Risk, Marketing Services and Brand\/PR Management.<\/p>\n<p>Each appointee comes from within AXA&#8217;s current management team, and all will report\u00a0to AXA&#8217;s GM Sales and Marketing, <strong>Adrian Emery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of these three new general management roles has in turn created three further senior positions, whose appointments have also been announced:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Steve Blanche<\/strong>: Head of Financial Protection Sales<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barbara Glover<\/strong>: Head of Investment Sales<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jim Decarlo<\/strong>: Head of Platform Sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to AXA, these additional appointments will increase the company&#8217;s focus and key resources on its core product sectors of Financial Protection, Investment and Platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, it is understood high level meetings between NAB and AXA&#8217;s parent, AXA SA are continuing, following the lapsing of AMP&#8217;s exclusive right to deal with AXA SA, which terminated on 6 February.<\/p>\n<p>But while its exclusivity agreement has now lapsed, AMP&#8217;s statement to the ASX concludes with the comment: &#8220;AMP continues to consider its position in relation to AXA AP.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If the NAB\/MLC bid for AXA Asia Pacific is accepted and passes regulatory scrutiny, its takeover of AXA is expected to be completed in the second quarter of the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AXA Australia continues to implement its strategies with the\u00a0creation of\u00a0three new\u00a0general management roles within its Distribution team.
