Global Compact, the world\u2019s largest corporate sustainability initiative which calls for companies to align their operations and strategies with 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.<\/p>\n<p>MetLife Australia Chief Executive Officer, <strong>Richard Nunn <\/strong>says in a statement that sustainability has long been a focus for MetLife in Australia and globally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoining the world\u2019s largest sustainability initiative, the U.N. Global Compact, will ensure our purpose, strategy and ongoing operations align with universal suitability principles.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50803\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50803\" style=\"width: 146px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2020\/07\/richard-nunn.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-50803\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2020\/07\/richard-nunn.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"146\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-50803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Richard Nunn&#8230;this step will help us continue to support the work of U.N.goals&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He added that the company knows its customers and business partners \u201c\u2026expect us to be making a positive impact on the world and this step will help us continue to support the work of U.N. goals\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The mandate of the U.N. Global Compact is to guide and support the global business community in advancing U.N. goals and values through responsible corporate practices. The 10 principles of the Global Compact encompass human rights, labor laws, the environment and corruption.<\/p>\n<p>The insurer also notes that it recently issued its annual Sustainability Report, which aligns with the U.N.
