Just five percent of respondents were not sure.<\/p>\n<p>One adviser commented that income protection \u201c\u2026<em>will be all but dead once July 1 [2021] comes and we see the introduction of an even more limited definition of income and five year terms\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The adviser wrote that those who have &#8220;&#8230;<em> created the new rules of \u2018sustainable\u2019 cover appear to have completely missed the impact on clients who have fluctuating income. Self-employed business people and contractors who obtain cover after July 1 next year will be the collateral damage.
