{"id":56825,"date":"2021-07-26T15:38:15","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T05:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=56825"},"modified":"2021-07-27T15:16:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T05:16:54","slug":"fpa-ceo-to-step-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2021\/07\/26\/fpa-ceo-to-step-down\/","title":{"rendered":"FPA CEO to Step Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The FPA has announced its CEO of the last five-and-a-half years, <strong>Dante De Gori<\/strong>, has resigned.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter released to FPA members today, De Gori has informed them he will continue in his role until the end of 2021 in order to allow a smooth transition in the search for his replacement.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56829\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56829\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/07\/Dante-De-Gori_FPA-CEO-cropped.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-56829\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/07\/Dante-De-Gori_FPA-CEO-cropped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-56829\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">FPA CEO, Dante De Gori &#8230;departing at the end of 2021<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>De Gori became the FPA&#8217;s CEO in March 2016, replacing previous CEO,\u00a0<strong>Mark Rantall<\/strong>, but has been with the association since February 2010, where he held senior policy roles prior to his appointment as CEO in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>In his message to members, De Gori listed a number of highlights during his tenure, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading the FPA through the most difficult period ever seen in financial planning, including fronting as a witness at the Royal Commission<\/li>\n<li>Pivoting the FPA through the introduction of the five-year strategic priorities of Members, Advocacy and Consumers<\/li>\n<li>Developing the FPA\u2019s 10-point plan future of financial advice white paper in 2014 &#8211; with 9 of the 10 points subsequently being delivered, including the protection of the terms financial planner\/adviser into law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ironically, De Gori&#8217;s resignation comes on the same day as the announcement of the AFA&#8217;s new CEO (see: <a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2021\/07\/26\/afa-announces-new-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AFA Announces New CEO<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The FPA Board, under its current Chair, <strong>Marisa Broome<\/strong>, is set to undertake an extensive search for the association&#8217;s next CEO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FPA has announced its CEO of the last five-and-a-half years, Dante De Gori, has resigned.
