PPS Mutual has appointed Dr John Cummins<\/strong> and Dr Bill Monday<\/strong> to the role of Chief Medical Officer.<\/p>\n

The insurer says in a statement that Cummins and Monday will be providing the PPS Mutual team with expert technical medical guidance to the Life Underwriting, Product Development and Claims service.<\/p>\n

It adds they will also assist the PPS Mutual Underwriting Department in conducting underwriting reviews of life insurance applications and will provide input and advice on internal guidelines.<\/p>\n

Marcello Bertasso<\/strong>, head of underwriting at PPS Mutual, says it\u2019s vital that the company has experts on hand to stay abreast of medical science and give appropriate advice to the team.<\/p>\n

He says Cummins and Monday bring a wealth of specialist medical skill and knowledge \u201c\u2026and we are confident that their expertise will help provide our members with additional security and peace of mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insurer says Cummins has 37-plus years\u2019 experience in medicine and has been working in the insurance sector since 2005 and that Monday joins PPS Mutual with more than 30 years\u2019 experience in the medical field and has accrued more than 20 years\u2019 experience in the insurance industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
