{"id":5947,"date":"2010-05-02T22:52:52","date_gmt":"2010-05-02T11:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=5947"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:10:07","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:10:07","slug":"fiona-navarro-wins-life-risk-champion-of-the-year-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/05\/02\/fiona-navarro-wins-life-risk-champion-of-the-year-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiona Navarro Wins Life Risk Champion of the Year Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MLC Risk Specialist Network&#8217;s <strong>Fiona Navarro<\/strong> has been named the risk store&#8217;s 2010 Life Risk Champion of the Year.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5955\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5955\" style=\"width: 159px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2010\/05\/047.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5955  \" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2010\/05\/047.jpg\" alt=\"2010 Life Risk Champion of the Year, Fiona Navarro\" width=\"159\" height=\"143\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5955\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">2010 risk store Life Risk Champion of the Year, Fiona Navarro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ms Navarro is National Manager Protection Advice within the MLC Risk Specialist Network, a specialist risk adviser sub-group within the MLC distribution network,\u00a0which Ms Navarro has been\u00a0instrumental in creating and developing.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Ms Navarro in the top three this year were Asteron GM, <strong>Jordan Hawke <\/strong>and CommInsure&#8217;s Executive Manager Business Growth Services, <strong>Jeffrey Scott<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its third year, the\u00a0risk store Life Risk Champion of the Year recognises \u00a0individual achievement and dedication within the Australian life insurance industry and is the result of an industry-wide nomination and judging process.<\/p>\n<p>Previous winners of the Award are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2009: <strong>Peter Sobels <\/strong>(riskinfo)<\/li>\n<li>2008: <strong>David Mico<\/strong> (IFSA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In accepting her Award, Ms Navarro acknowledged her colleagues within the MLC Risk Specialist Network team and spoke of her drive towards ongoing efforts to help build adviser capability, particularly in the areas of estate planning and business succession planning.\u00a0 Her message to advisers is that &#8220;&#8230;
