{"id":60945,"date":"2022-05-19T14:21:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T04:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=60945"},"modified":"2024-10-30T08:43:44","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T22:43:44","slug":"fpa-roadshow-to-visit-five-capitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2022\/05\/19\/fpa-roadshow-to-visit-five-capitals\/","title":{"rendered":"FPA Roadshow to Visit Five Capitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The FPA is about to embark on its <a href=\"https:\/\/fpa.com.au\/get-involved\/fpa-roadshow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roadshow Capital City Series,<\/a> taking place in June across Australia.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the association says that the Roadshow Series will travel to five capital cities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perth on 1 June<\/li>\n<li>Adelaide on 2 June<\/li>\n<li>Sydney on 7 June<\/li>\n<li>Melbourne on 8 June<\/li>\n<li>Brisbane on 10 June<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_58852\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58852\" style=\"width: 162px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/12\/Sarah-Abood-v2-e1639004204902.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-58852\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/12\/Sarah-Abood-v2-e1639004204902.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"162\" height=\"195\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-58852\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sarah Abood.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The FPA says the event series is complimentary for members and \u201c\u2026provides a chance to reconnect with peers and benefit from an insightful half day professional development session.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also an opportunity to hear from new CEO, <strong>Sarah Abood<\/strong>, and new Chair, <strong>David Sharpe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Guest speakers include Generation Life CEO <strong>Grant Hackett<\/strong> &#8211; previously a multiple Olympic champion and world record-holder representing Australia in swimming.<\/p>\n<p>Abood says she is looking forward to meeting with members to share the changes the association is making to improve the membership experience and its plans for the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe program includes up-to-the-minute policy and regulatory insights affecting financial planning, including the Quality of Advice Review and the implications of the election outcome,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Abood adds that members will also earn up to 2.5 CPD hours with sessions on ethics, solving client retirement challenges and addressing PI dilemmas, presented in partnership with Generation Life and AB Phillips.<\/p>\n<p>The roadshow is complimentary for members who can register <a href=\"https:\/\/fpa.com.au\/get-involved\/fpa-roadshow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
