{"id":62914,"date":"2022-10-03T20:39:31","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T10:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=62914"},"modified":"2024-10-30T08:43:11","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T22:43:11","slug":"new-kiwi-life-insurance-awareness-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2022\/10\/03\/new-kiwi-life-insurance-awareness-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"New Kiwi Life Insurance Awareness Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Zealand viewers of a local TV show have been prompted to think about life insurance in a very different way, thanks to NZ insurer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partnerslife.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Partners Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past six weeks, the insurer&#8217;s ads have aired at the end of each episode of a popular whodunnit drama, <a href=\"https:\/\/thebrokenwoodmysteries.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Brokenwood Mysteries<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> before the end credits.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Kiwi actress <strong>Meryl Main<\/strong>, who played murder victim Janis in one episode, comes back to life to lament her untimely death, \u201cWell I didn&#8217;t see this coming&#8230;&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the series, similar tongue-in-cheek ads from the firm have aired, with a bespoke commercial playing at the end of each of the six episodes.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Janis Episode 1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aVANsxcyoM0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Naomi\u00a0Ballantyne<\/strong>, Managing Director at Partners Life, says the approach is what&#8217;s needed to grab the attention of the New Zealand public:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Zealand is, unfortunately, one of the most under-insured countries in the world.
