{"id":65063,"date":"2023-03-23T10:52:10","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T23:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=65063"},"modified":"2023-03-28T19:51:45","modified_gmt":"2023-03-28T08:51:45","slug":"national-roadshows-for-advisers-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2023\/03\/23\/national-roadshows-for-advisers-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"National Roadshows for Advisers Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two major roadshows for financial advisers will be held in May and June.<\/p>\n<p>The Million Dollar Round Table has announced its MDRT Coaching Australia Roadshow will be held in May in three cities and the FPA and AFA are promoting the 2023 United Association Roadshow in May and June, following the successful vote on the merger of the two associations.<\/p>\n<p>The United Association Roadshow will\u00a0 be the first major event run under the new associations\u2019 brand of Financial Advice Association of Australia, which will take effect from 3 April 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MDRT Coaching Australia<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_63871\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-63871\" style=\"width: 153px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2022\/12\/Nick-Longo-e1670900900729.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-63871\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2022\/12\/Nick-Longo-e1670900900729.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-63871\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nick Longo &#8230;the MDRT Coaching Australia Roadshow will be held in in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MDRT Australian chair, <strong>Nick Longo<\/strong>, announced that the MDRT Coaching Australia Roadshow will be held in in May 2023 in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>He thanked the organisation\u2019s education partner, GenLife for hosting the afternoon events where <strong>Grant Hackett<\/strong> will be the\u00a0 keynote speaker in all states.<\/p>\n<p>The free event will be held in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brisbane on 2 May with <strong>Esther Althaus<\/strong> as presenter<\/li>\n<li>Melbourne on 5 May with <strong>Jason Poole<\/strong> as presenter<\/li>\n<li>Sydney on 10 May with <strong>Aaron Kane<\/strong> as presenter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>United Association Roadshow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the FPA and AFA say the official theme for their united roadshow is \u2018Policy, Practice, People \u2013 A united pathway for members\u2019. The roadshow will travel to 10 cities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hobart on 5 May<\/li>\n<li>Newcastle on 11 May<\/li>\n<li>Sydney on 15 May<\/li>\n<li>Brisbane on 16 May<\/li>\n<li>Melbourne on 18 May<\/li>\n<li>Bendigo on 19 May<\/li>\n<li>Adelaide on 23 May<\/li>\n<li>Perth on 25 May<\/li>\n<li>Canberra on 31 May<\/li>\n<li>Townsville on 2 June<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_58852\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58852\" style=\"width: 162px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/12\/Sarah-Abood-v2-e1639004204902.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-58852\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/12\/Sarah-Abood-v2-e1639004204902.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"162\" height=\"195\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-58852\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sarah Abood&#8230;a great opportunity for members of both organisations to enjoy a full day of quality CPD content&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The associations say the event will be an opportunity to hear from the FPA CEO <strong>Sarah Abood<\/strong> and Chair <strong>David Sharpe<\/strong> and AFA CEO <strong>Phil Anderson<\/strong>, on upcoming changes following the merger, as well as the policy and advocacy activities taking place.<\/p>\n<p>Abood says that the roadshow will be \u201c\u2026a great opportunity for members of both organisations to enjoy a full day of quality CPD content as well as plenty of opportunities to network with fellow practitioners and colleagues over lunch and post-event drinks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During each event, attendees will hear from keynote speaker <strong>Mark &#8216;Squiz&#8217; Squirrell OAM<\/strong> who has served with the Australian Special Forces as well as working across the globe as an International Aid Worker, including escorting food convoys through the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n<p>Members who attend the roadshow and the CPD workshops focused on Regulation, Ethics and Client Care will earn up to an estimated five CPD hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fpa.com.au\/2023-fpa-afa-united-association-roadshow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> for more information on the United Association Roadshow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two major roadshows for financial advisers will be held in May and June.
