{"id":6676,"date":"2010-06-15T13:14:21","date_gmt":"2010-06-15T03:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=6676"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:10:35","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:10:35","slug":"comminsure-management-restructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/06\/15\/comminsure-management-restructure\/","title":{"rendered":"CommInsure Management Restructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CommInsure has announced a restructure to its life insurance business that will see it re-organised into a &#8216;line of business&#8217; approach for its four business units.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The insurer advises its new structure will bring together the product, distribution and support teams for each its businesses &#8216;&#8230; to better serve the needs of our customers and advisers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The four businesses are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retail Advice<\/li>\n<li>Wholesale Life<\/li>\n<li>Super and Investments<\/li>\n<li>Direct Life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CommInsure details three benefits for its key stakeholders by moving to this model:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To further focus on its adviser and customer segments<\/li>\n<li>To develop more compelling strategies and targeted offerings for each of the four business<\/li>\n<li>To be more effective at delivering on these plans and customer service promises<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The key appointment announced to date, particularly from a life insurance industry perspective,\u00a0has been that of <strong>Tim Browne<\/strong>, currently Head of Advice Delivery at Colonial First State, to the newly-created role of General Manager, Retail Advice.<\/p>\n<p>The new Retail Advice business unit will comprise CommInsure&#8217;s:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retail risk products range<\/li>\n<li>Advice distribution team<\/li>\n<li>Technical, sales, strategy, relationship and training services to advisers and dealer groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other General Management appointees to date are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Greg Ballard<\/strong>: General Manager &#8211; Superannuation and Investments<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gareth Newton<\/strong>: General Manager &#8211; Direct Life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CommInsure advises the position of General Manager for Wholesale Life is to be announced shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Transition to the new structure will be taking place\u00a0immediately, with the reorganisation to become effective from 1 July\u00a02010.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CommInsure has announced a restructure to its life insurance business that will see it re-organised into a &#8216;line of business&#8217; approach for its four business units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[249,48],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6676","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-appointments","category-company-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6676","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=6676"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6676\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=6676"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=6676"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=6676"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
