{"id":6863,"date":"2010-06-30T12:01:38","date_gmt":"2010-06-30T02:01:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=6863"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:10:34","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:10:34","slug":"ing-announces-60-enhancements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/06\/30\/ing-announces-60-enhancements\/","title":{"rendered":"ING Announces 60 Enhancements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ING says adviser feedback has shaped the latest update to its flagship OneCare risk\u00a0products range and to other technology and service offerings.<\/p>\n<p>According to an ING release, key enhancements include:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancement to the disability definition within ING&#8217;s Income Secure product, now including a new 10 hour disability definition<\/li>\n<li>$3 million maximum sum insured for Trauma Cover with Extended Needle Stick Benefit<\/li>\n<li>Broader income protection cover for mining, oil and gas-related occupations &#8211; more than 70 new eligible occupations in these industries, including quarry workers and driller operators<\/li>\n<li>Living Expense Cover &#8211; has increased its maximum sum insured to a $5000 monthly benefit to age 80 (ideal for homemakers and those unable to qualify for traditional income protection)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A raft of further enhancements, which span product, technology and underwriting services includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removal of expiry of interim cover<\/li>\n<li>Earlier commencement of the 12 month waiting period for cover buyback<\/li>\n<li>Standard underwriting now available for farmers seeking age 65 Income Secure benefit<\/li>\n<li>Database update of the OneCare Express medical practitioner lookup<\/li>\n<li>Faster navigation for online applications through OneCare Express<\/li>\n<li>Reduced underwriting delays through use of freeform text fields through OneCare Express<\/li>\n<li>Cumulative premium comparisons now available for stepped and level premiums via ING&#8217;s Illustrator adviser software<\/li>\n<li>Lump sum calculation facility available to determine total potential Income Secure benefits payable via Illustrator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Commenting on the influence from advisers in shaping these enhancements, ING&#8217;s Head of Product, Marketing and Reinsurance for Insurance, <strong>Gerard Kerr<\/strong>, said: &#8220;This commitment to listen and act on feedback is the foundation of how we maintain an industry leading offering.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ING says adviser feedback has shaped the latest update to its flagship OneCare risk\u00a0products range and to other technology and service offerings.
