{"id":68932,"date":"2023-12-04T09:36:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-03T23:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=68932"},"modified":"2023-12-11T10:41:35","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T00:41:35","slug":"advisers-on-the-move","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2023\/12\/04\/advisers-on-the-move\/","title":{"rendered":"Advisers on the Move"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While there was a modest gain in the number of financial advisers in the past week, <a href=\"https:\/\/wealthdata.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wealth Data<\/a> says 75 advisers were \u2018active\u2019 &#8211; either being appointed or resigning.<\/p>\n<p>The research firm\u2019s <strong>Colin Williams<\/strong> says the adviser count moved up by six advisers, boosted by five new entrants.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_57476\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57476\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/09\/Colin-Williams.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-57476\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2021\/09\/Colin-Williams.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-57476\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Colin Williams.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>However 75 advisers &#8220;&#8230;\u2019moved\u2019 in one direction or another this week,&#8221; with 29 licensee owners seeing net gains of 38 advisers and 24 licensee owners having net losses of 31 advisers.<\/p>\n<p>Williams says that as the industry starts to look at closing the year \u201c..we can expect more volatility in the adviser market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He notes the current number of advisers sits at 15,694.
