{"id":7172,"date":"2010-07-23T21:48:55","date_gmt":"2010-07-23T11:48:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=7172"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:11:04","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:11:04","slug":"pricing-advice-book-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/07\/23\/pricing-advice-book-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Pricing Advice&#8217; Book Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elixirconsulting.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elixir Consulting<\/a> has launched its new book,<em> Pricing Advice<\/em>,\u00a0designed to assist advice practices transition to\u00a0a fee for service remuneration model.<\/p>\n<p>The book is one of three elements that comprise Elixir&#8217;s Pricing Advice proposition, but has been designed to also work as\u00a0a stand-alone resource to aid advisers on their journey to fee for service.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The book&#8217;s author, Elixir MD <strong>Sue Viskovic<\/strong>,\u00a0stresses there is no single &#8216;one size fits all&#8217; solution\u00a0for advice practices as they seek to create their fee for service model.\u00a0 Rather, Ms Viskovic has developed a system based on a qualitative two-year study of 120 advice practices around Australia and first-hand experience having assisted many businesses to make the transition, which she says will provide a process that will create the right fee model outcome for any advice business.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ms Viskovic, the &#8216;right&#8217; fee model outcome for an advice practice will depend largely on three key factors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The advisers in the business<\/li>\n<li>The typical client of the firm<\/li>\n<li>The service offering of the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>&#8230; the aim of the book is to assist planners determine the value of their advice<\/h6>\n<p>Taking these factors into account and following Elixir&#8217;s Pricing Advice processes, the aim of the book is to assist planners determine the value of their advice,\u00a0the level of fees their practice\u00a0should be charging, and how those fees should be structured.<\/p>\n<p>The other two\u00a0elements in Elixir&#8217;s Pricing Advice process include a &#8216;DIY&#8217; online program comprising calculators and other tools\u00a0designed for practices that have already begun to shape their fee advice proposition, and a more direct private consulting service for those advisers and practices looking for a starting point in developing their fee for service solution.\u00a0 These services are set to be launched next month.<\/p>\n<p>Given the proposed Future of Financial Advice and Cooper Review reforms Ms Viskovic encourages advisers not to wait until it is too late:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While there are some finer details of the proposed legislation that need to be refined, that needn&#8217;t stop advisers from getting on the front foot and at least starting to put some serious thought around the issue,&#8221; said Ms Viskovic, adding:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When doing so, many will likely need all the help they can get in order to get their head around the issues, and to make this a positive change for their business and clients.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Advisers and others can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elixirconsulting.com.au\/pages\/Pricing-Advice-Book.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here<\/a>\u00a0to access more information and order the newly-launched <em>Pricing Advice<\/em> publication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elixir Consulting has launched its new book, Pricing Advice,\u00a0designed to assist advice practices transition to\u00a0a fee for service remuneration model.
