The news that TAL has appointed a new MD to replace Brett Clark, who has been promoted to a regional role with parent company, Dai-ichi Life drew strong reader interest this week…<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

TAL has appointed Fiona Macgregor<\/strong> as its new Group CEO and Managing Director, following\u00a0 the promotion of Brett Clark<\/strong> to the role of CEO and Managing Director of Asia-Pacific for Dai-ichi Life Group, TAL\u2019s parent company.<\/p>\n

Macgregor takes on the new role effective from 1 October 2024. She will continue in her current role as Chief Executive \u2013 Individual Life until then as part of a leadership transition with Clark over the next three months.<\/p>\n

A statement from TAL says that leveraging her broad expertise across innovation, customer, partnerships, brand and technology, Macgregor will be responsible for leading TAL through its ongoing strategy in the life insurance and retirement markets with a focus on digitally enabled customer and partner experience.<\/p>\n

Clark says it has been a privilege to lead TAL through a significant period of growth and industry change.<\/p>\n

TAL Board Chair Mark Joiner<\/strong> says Macgregor is an impressive leader with more than 10 years in senior leadership roles at TAL. She has a “…strong track record of leadership in the business and has helped to grow and shape TAL.”<\/p>\n

He says Macgregor knows the business well \u201c\u2026and has a deep appreciation for the needs and expectations of our customers and partners in the evolving life insurance and retirement income markets.\u201d<\/p>\n

He says the Board has been carefully preparing for CEO succession and is confident she is the right person to lead TAL into the future.<\/p>\n

He thanked Clark for his leadership of TAL over the last nine years.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has built a strong executive team and provided the vision and leadership enabling TAL to grow and go from strength to strength to become one of Australia\u2019s leading life insurers during a significant period of change for the life insurance industry.\u201d<\/p>\n
