The Australian Million Dollar Round Table<\/a> has announced Adelaide-based adviser, John Campbell<\/strong> will become the Associations new Australian Chairman.<\/p>\n

Mr Campbell has been an adviser for 32 years and was a finalist in last year’s AFA Adviser of the Year Award.<\/p>\n

He takes over from outgoing Chair, Stuart Farrell<\/strong>, who steps down on 1 September after two years at the helm of MDRT Australia.<\/p>\n

The Association\u00a0has also announced the appointment of well-known adviser, Bev Carlyon<\/strong>, to the position of Regional Chair for USA, Canada and Oceania.\u00a0 MDRT says this is a senior role and demonstrates the regard in which Australian advisers are held by their worldwide peers.<\/div>\n

At the end of his two-year tenure as its Australian\u00a0Chairman, Mr Farrell aligned his Associations’ position on adviser remuneration with that of the AFA, which advocates that the client should have the power to decide how an adviser is paid.<\/p>\n

Mr Farrell added that continuity of client service and advice is financial services’ greatest challenge as many of the industry’s Baby Boomer advisers transition into retirement.<\/p>\n
