The expansion will now welcome applications from education providers offering programs in areas such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Estate Planning<\/li>\n<li>Retirement<\/li>\n<li>Money Therapy<\/li>\n<li>SMSF (Self-Managed Superannuation Funds)<\/li>\n<li>Responsible\u00a0Investing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThere is increasing demand from consumers for advisers with demonstrated expertise in specific advice areas,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Anne Palmer<\/strong>, FAAA GM of Education.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_78422\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78422\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-78422\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2025\/08\/Anne-Palmer.jpeg\" alt=\"Anne Palmer, FAA\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-78422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Anne Palmer, FAAA GM of Education.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe want to support advisers in their ongoing learning and development and help them stay in the profession they\u2019ve worked hard to be part of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Palmer said licensees with advisers focusing on aged care or SMSF for example, often mandate further education in these fields for their advisers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn FAAA endorsed specialisation ensures the education content is of sufficient standard and that advisers holding the specialisation are continuing to undertake at least five hours of CPD a year in staying up to date in that field,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy expanding the Specialisations Program, we are helping advisers distinguish themselves professionally and partnering with quality education providers to raise the standard of advice across the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FAAA is expanding its Approved Specialisations Program, with applications now open to education and designation providers offering qualifications in a broader range of financial advice areas.
