Last weekend saw the official departure of the Aviva brand from the Australian financial services market place.<\/p>\n
Based on its takeover arrangements, MLC was entitled to use the Aviva brand until Friday 2 October 2010, after which date all materials carrying the Aviva name were to be withdrawn from the market.<\/p>\n
MLC issued a reminder to its Aviva supporters earlier this week to update their product materials with the MLC branded items, including re-badged Protedctionfirst<\/em> Product Disclosure Statements (see below for links to the new PDS and standard policy docs).<\/p>\n The following changes have also occurred for advisers:<\/p>\n Public website<\/strong><\/p>\n All relevant content has been transferred to the MLC public website and visitors to the Aviva website\u00a0will be redirected to www.mlc.com.au<\/a> for a short period of time.<\/p>\n All disclosure documents, forms and marketing materials can still be downloaded from the MLC website, while any content previously not available to the public will be retained on the Adviser secure website.<\/p>\n Adviser secure website<\/strong><\/p>\n Advisers must now access the secure adviser website via mlc.com.au rather than the Aviva website. \u00a0MLC has advised that current login and passwords will provide access to the new site.<\/p>\n Riskfirst<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There are minor impacts due to differences between the Aviva and MLC application forms.\u00a0 These are dependent on the method of application used and advisers should consult their MLC Business Development Manager for further information on transition arrangements.<\/p>\n Illustratorfirst<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n There is a new version of Illustratorfirst<\/em>. \u00a0There are no functional changes in the new version, but it has been updated with the new brand.\u00a0 Advisers need to upgrade to the new version in order to continue to use the software.<\/p>\n Advisers will continue to receive updates on changes to products, disclosure documents and statement timings, via \u2018Adviser Weekly’ (formerly \u2018Aviva Weekly’).<\/p>\n The riskinfo Resource Centre has been updated with the newly badged PDSs.
