TAL and mental health organisation SANE<\/a> are to deliver new support programs for Australians living with mental ill-health. The collaboration includes a three-year digital health initiative and a pilot peer recovery program for people on claim.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, the TAL Community Foundation and SANE will co-develop a digital support service aimed at reaching those who have experienced mental health distress but not received consistent care through traditional channels.<\/p>\n

Separately, TAL and SANE have introduced a peer recovery pilot program for eligible superannuation fund members receiving IP or TPD benefits. The 20-week program provides one-to-one support, group sessions and community connections to help participants rebuild their health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Mental ill-health has been TAL’s leading cause of claims for four consecutive years, with more than 11,000 Australians claiming for a mental health condition in 2024-25.<\/p>\n
