{"id":80524,"date":"2025-12-08T10:02:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T23:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=80524"},"modified":"2025-12-09T09:03:36","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T22:03:36","slug":"ewm-pushes-scale-strategy-with-new-acquisitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2025\/12\/08\/ewm-pushes-scale-strategy-with-new-acquisitions\/","title":{"rendered":"EWM Pushes Scale Strategy with New Acquisitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eurekawhittakermacnaught.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eureka Whittaker Macnaught<\/a> (EWM) is acquiring three additional companies that it states will take its annual revenue to $25m and team members to 90, including 27 advisers.<\/p>\n<p>In the process of being added to the company this month are Queensland-based firms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/msiwealth.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSI Taylor Wealth Management <\/a>(led by <strong>Peter O\u2019Callaghan<\/strong> and <strong>Daniel Shine<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Financial Design (led by <strong>Helen Postle<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourwealthylife.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Your Wealthy Life <\/a>(led by <strong>Megan Neale<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These latest acquisitions follow mergers earlier this year with MTP Financial in Cairns, and Wealthmed on the Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Greg Cook<\/strong>, CEO, EWM, said: \u201cScale is increasingly important in financial advice, not only to achieve operational and cost benefits, but to increase our ability to meet growing public demand for professional advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_76512\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-76512\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-76512 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2025\/03\/Greg-Cook.jpg\" alt=\"Greg Cook https:\/\/eurekawhittakermacnaught.com.au\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-76512\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Greg Cook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He said the company is pursuing a strategy to expand its client value proposition and free up advisers to spend more time in front of clients.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, the firm has brought a number of professional services inhouse including accounting, mortgage broking, and aged care advice.<\/p>\n<p>Cook said the group is looking at opportunities to grow through M&amp;A in New South Wales and other states.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eureka Whittaker Macnaught (EWM) is acquiring three additional companies that it states will take its annual revenue to $25m and team members to 90, including 27 advisers.
