A new book written by Jenny Brown<\/strong>, CEO and Founder of JBS Financial Strategists<\/a>, aims to place the basics of retirement planning into the hands of consumers.<\/p>\n

Retirement: The Great Escape Plan<\/em><\/a> is based on Brown\u2019s more than 33 years of client experience, industry leadership, and behavioural insight.<\/p>\n

She describes her book as offering a \u201cdeeply human approach to one of the most important transitions Australians face\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe book blends technical expertise with storytelling, bringing to life the emotional, financial and psychological realities of retirement,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

The book was written during the course of last year and features more than 30 real-life stories to help illustrate common issues faced by those planning their retirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will at the very least start to steer readers in the right direction,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

It also provides broad-brush guidance to those who are on the cusp of retirement or who have already retired.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt its heart, this book is about replacing fear with clarity and confidence,\u201d says Brown. \u201cRetirement isn\u2019t the end, it\u2019s the beginning of a lifestyle you get to define.\u201d<\/p>\n

Split into four sections, the book covers topics such as budgeting for fun, health, avoiding scams, elder abuse, and the realities of ageing.<\/p>\n
