{"id":8187,"date":"2010-10-25T07:30:27","date_gmt":"2010-10-24T20:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=8187"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:12:23","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:12:23","slug":"andrew-shakespeare-wins-afa-rising-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/10\/25\/andrew-shakespeare-wins-afa-rising-star\/","title":{"rendered":"Andrew Shakespeare Wins AFA Rising Star"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New South Wales adviser <strong>Andrew Shakespeare<\/strong> is the 2010 winner of\u00a0 the AFA Rising Star Award.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The Award, announced at the end of\u00a0the first day of the 2010 AFA National Conference on the Gold Coast,\u00a0recognises the best new adviser talent in the industry and was won by Mr Shakespeare for his outstanding contribution across four key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing financial advice<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen<\/li>\n<li>Community service<\/li>\n<li>Industry service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mr Shakespeare provides advice through licensee Matrix for JSA Financial Planning Group.\u00a0 He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining JSA, Mr Shakespeare worked with one of the major life offices and has over seven years of financial planning expertise.<\/p>\n<p>In accepting his Award, Mr Shakespeare acknowledged his fellow finalists, remarking on the quality of the individuals and the excellence of their own advice businesses.\u00a0 The other finalists were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nikkii Park<\/strong> (QLD) Risk QLD<\/li>\n<li><strong>Michael Batten<\/strong> (QLD) Batten Financial Services<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mark Rattigan <\/strong>(WA) Merideon Wealth Strategies<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paul Trosti<\/strong> (NSW) Godfrey Pembroke<\/li>\n<li><strong>Christopher Jones <\/strong>(QLD) RI Advice (RetireInvest)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Andrew believes there is always a need for financial advice, irrespective of a person&#8217;s age or investment preference,&#8221; said AFA CEO <strong>Richard Klipin<\/strong>, adding, &#8220;He embodies all that this Award represents: he is well educated, passionate, leads a thriving business, is a key part of his community and brings a wonderful balance and vision to his profession.
