{"id":82309,"date":"2026-05-06T14:45:47","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T04:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=82309"},"modified":"2026-05-12T15:01:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T05:01:15","slug":"two-australian-charities-share-in-metlife-foundations-global-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2026\/05\/06\/two-australian-charities-share-in-metlife-foundations-global-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Australian Charities Share in MetLife Foundation\u2019s Global Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The two Australian recipients of MetLife Foundation\u2019s Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP) have been named.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation is providing more than $9m (US$6.5m) to nonprofits worldwide that &#8220;&#8230;deliver the services and resources people rely on to build financial health and resilience&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2023, the CIGP expanded globally last year to support organisations delivering solutions focused on food security, mental health and wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and vibrant communities.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s grants will support more than 100 nonprofits, including two in Australia:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dvsafephone.org\/aboutus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DV Safe Phone<\/a> which repurposes phones to help victims of domestic violence<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.habitat.org\/ap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Habitat for Humanity<\/a>&#8216;s healthy homes initiative that improves housing quality for low-income families across the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metlife.com\/sustainability\/MetLife-Foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for more information about MetLife Foundation and a full list of grant recipients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The two Australian recipients of MetLife Foundation\u2019s Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP) have been named.
