{"id":8307,"date":"2010-11-01T10:09:13","date_gmt":"2010-10-31T23:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=8307"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:13:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:13:00","slug":"senior-appointments-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/11\/01\/senior-appointments-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Services Council (FSC), Asgard and BT Financial Group have announced key appointments during the last week:<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The\u00a0FSC has elected Macquarie Bank&#8217;s <strong>Peter Maher<\/strong> as its\u00a0Chairman, replacing Perpetual&#8217;s <strong>David Deverall<\/strong>, who has held the position for the past three years.<\/p>\n<p>Colonial First State CEO\u00a0 <strong>Brian Bissaker<\/strong>\u00a0was re-elected as the FSC&#8217;s Deputy Chairman, while\u00a0<strong>Michael Bargholz<\/strong>, CEO, AllianceBernstein Australia &amp; New Zealand, replaced Mr Maher as the Council&#8217;s other Deputy Chairman.<\/p>\n<p>Directors <strong>Harry Stout<\/strong>, CEO, ING Australia (OnePath), and <strong>Peter Promnitz<\/strong>, Region Head, Asia Pacific, Mercer, resigned from the Board at the FSC&#8217;s AGM, replaced by Suncorp Life CEO <strong>Geoff Summerhayes<\/strong> and Equity Trustees MD <strong>Robin Burns<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Asgard\/BT FinancialGroup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Darren Whereat<\/strong> has been appointed to the role of Head of Distribution, Asgard.\u00a0 Mr Whereat&#8217;s\u00a0appointment follows a review of Asgard&#8217;s sales and business support teams, which now include a state manager for each mainland state and consolidates the previous Institutional Business Services and Key Accounts &amp; Distribution businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Asgard also announced the appointment of <strong>Tim North Ash<\/strong> to the role of National Manager &#8211; Key Accounts, Institutional and NSW Sales.<\/p>\n<p>In other BT Financial Group news, <strong>Jane Watts<\/strong> has been announced as the new General Manager of Westpac Private Bank, and <strong>James Blackshaw<\/strong> joins St George Private Clients as State Head QLD and WA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Services Council (FSC), Asgard and BT Financial Group have announced key appointments during the last week:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[249],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-8307","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-appointments"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8307","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/7"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=8307"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8307\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=8307"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=8307"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=8307"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
