The cancellation took effect on 8 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1215\">CAIP Services had held AFS Licence No. 432297 since 6 February 2013. The licence authorised the company to provide financial product advice on general insurance and life risk insurance products to retail and wholesale clients.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1215\">The Perth-based firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/caip-services-pty-ltd\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">described itself<\/a> as one of Australia\u2019s leading providers of IP, accident and sickness insurance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1215\">ASIC says it acted under section 915B(3)(a) of the Corporations Act 2001, which allows the regulator to suspend or cancel an AFS licence if a licence holder ceases to carry on a financial services business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1215\">Records preserved by Archive.org indicate the company&#8217;s website has been offline since 2021. ASIC <a href=\"https:\/\/publishednotices.asic.gov.au\/browsesearch-notices\/notice-details\/CAIP-SERVICES-PTY-LIMITED-134807300\/07cfa795-3f21-4236-a7e4-d18eb57ff72f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deregistered<\/a> the company in 2022.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1824\">The company has the right to apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for a review of ASIC&#8217;s decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASIC has cancelled the AFS licence of CAIP Services Pty Ltd after finding the company was no longer carrying on a financial services business.
