TAL has released its Our Contribution 2025\/26<\/a> report which highlights how the life insurer is investing to support more Australians through changing protection needs, mental health challenges and the transition to retirement.<\/p>\n

TAL Group CEO and Managing Director Fiona Macgregor <\/strong>says\u00a0the report reflects how TAL is responding to the needs of modern Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cBehind every claim is a person, a family and a story. Our most visible contribution is the financial support we provide … but it is about more than financial outcomes. It\u2019s about choice, plans, family, legacy and helping people find a new normal in challenging situations.\u201d<\/p>\n

She says that Australian economy continues to evolve, and TAL is seeing this reflected in customers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n

Against this backdrop, we made meaningful progress against our FY25-30 strategy, stepping up our investment in claims, in digital, and in the products, services and partnerships that will help us respond to the needs of modern Australia. Mental ill health remained TAL\u2019s leading cause of claim for the fifth consecutive year, which the company says reinforces the need for evidence-based support that helps customers return to wellness and work.<\/p>\n

Macgregor says mental ill health has become an era-defining priority for TAL, the industry and the communities it serves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are evolving the support we provide, including\u00a0leveraging\u00a0the\u00a0expertise\u00a0of new and existing partners to ensure our work is grounded in evidence and our customers\u2019 actual experience, and developing products with a bias toward recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insurer says that last year, it focused on reaching and helping more Australians, including younger people who are under-served and under-protected, by innovating to make protection more relevant, affordable and accessible.<\/p>\n

“New propositions, including backd\u00a0<\/em>by TAL for casual and contract workers and cover designed for access via mortgage brokers, recognise changing working patterns and the most relevant life stages to access cover.” The insurer also launched the \u2018Life Takes Guts – protecting it should be easy\u2019 campaign to support this focus.<\/p>\n

With millions of Australians set to retire in the next decade, TAL\u2019s work with\u00a0<\/u>retirement partners, aims to help more Australians establish an income for life beyond their working years.<\/p>\n

The company says continued investment in digital innovation, AI and technology is helping it create simpler and safer experiences for its customers,\u00a0partners\u00a0and people.<\/p>\n
