{"id":8386,"date":"2010-11-04T19:49:54","date_gmt":"2010-11-04T08:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=8386"},"modified":"2020-02-06T08:12:59","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T21:12:59","slug":"value-of-advice-award-finalists-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2010\/11\/04\/value-of-advice-award-finalists-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Value of Advice Award Finalists Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced the finalists in\u00a0its\u00a02010 Value of Advice (VOA) Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The finalists are in the running for three awards, which recognise FPA members who display outstanding professionalism and demonstrate the true value of their advice.\u00a0 The 2010 VOA Award finalists are:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Wealth Accumulation and Protection<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Leanne Bull<\/strong> CFP, Bull Financial Group (QLD), AXA Financial Planning<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dennis Jones<\/strong> CFP, Beacon Wealth (VIC), Apogee Financial Planning<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benjamin Lancaster<\/strong> CFP, MG Financial Planning (VIC), MG Financial Planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Pre-Retirement Planning<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charles Badenach<\/strong>CFP, Shadforth Financial Group (TAS), Shadforth Financial Group\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timothy Carrigg<\/strong> CFP, HFM &amp; Partners (VIC), AXA Financial Planning\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Philip Mason-Cox<\/strong> CFP, Hayes Knight Financial Planning (QLD), Magnitude<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Post-Retirement Planning and Management<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Andrew Harris<\/strong>CFP, Minerds Bell Consultancy Group (SA), AXA Financial Planning<\/li>\n<li><strong>Justin Pratt<\/strong> (Undertaking the CFP Certification Program), Mercer Wealth Solutions (NSW), MINL<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stephen Priestley<\/strong> CFP, Professional Retirement Advice (NSW), Godfrey Pembroke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Awards are open to all Certified Financial Planner (CFP) practitioners, and those enrolled in the CFP Certification Program.\u00a0 VOA Award judge, <strong>John Godfrey<\/strong>, said the finalists all exemplified the FPA&#8217;s best practice ideals and demonstrated that complete financial advice goes beyond monetary benefits.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The finalists&#8217; submissions reinforced the need to fully understand clients&#8217; financial, family and health situations to help them reach their objectives, together with some innovative advice that exhibited a deep understanding of the technical and regulatory issues involved,&#8221; Mr Godfrey said.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the three categories will be announced at a special awards ceremony on Thursday 25 November at the 2010 FPA National Conference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced the finalists in\u00a0its\u00a02010 Value of Advice (VOA) Awards.
