{"id":84498,"date":"2026-11-03T14:23:32","date_gmt":"2026-11-03T03:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/?p=84498"},"modified":"2026-11-03T14:23:32","modified_gmt":"2026-11-03T03:23:32","slug":"recognising-the-next-generation-of-advisers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/2026\/11\/03\/recognising-the-next-generation-of-advisers\/","title":{"rendered":"Recognising the Next Generation of Advisers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australia\u2019s next generation of financial planners shone at the 16th Annual Entireti University Challenge in Melbourne with a total of 169 financial planning students, in 91 teams representing 13 tertiary education institutions, participating in this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 2010 by AMP, the competition aims to recognise the next generation of financial planning talent, and promote financial planning as an attractive career.<\/p>\n<p>RMIT student <strong>Olivia Handreck<\/strong> won the competition with TAFE NSW student, <strong>Tasos Mihail<\/strong> in second place and another RMIT student, <strong>Adam Fowler<\/strong> in third place.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_74912\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-74912\" style=\"width: 152px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2024\/12\/Neil-Younger-Screenshot-2024-12-02-at-15-11-06-About-Entireti-Entireti-Limited-e1733105587380.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-74912\" src=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2024\/12\/Neil-Younger-Screenshot-2024-12-02-at-15-11-06-About-Entireti-Entireti-Limited-e1733105587380-254x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"152\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2024\/12\/Neil-Younger-Screenshot-2024-12-02-at-15-11-06-About-Entireti-Entireti-Limited-e1733105587380-254x300.png 254w, https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2024\/12\/Neil-Younger-Screenshot-2024-12-02-at-15-11-06-About-Entireti-Entireti-Limited-e1733105587380-356x420.png 356w, https:\/\/riskinfo.com.au\/news\/files\/2024\/12\/Neil-Younger-Screenshot-2024-12-02-at-15-11-06-About-Entireti-Entireti-Limited-e1733105587380.png 463w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 152px) 100vw, 152px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-74912\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Neil Younger &#8230;every organisation can play a role in attracting talent to the profession.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>CEO at Entireti,\u00a0<strong>Neil Younger<\/strong>, says the firm is &#8220;&#8230;proud to continue supporting this worthy initiative because financial planning is a fulfilling and rewarding career path, and every organisation can play a role in attracting talent to the profession.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The judging panel for this year\u2019s Challenge included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rebecca Pritchard<\/strong>, Senior Financial Adviser, <a href=\"https:\/\/risingtidefinancial.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rising Tide Financial Services<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Alisdair Barr<\/strong>, Founder and CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/striver.careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Striver<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Phil Anderson<\/strong>, General Manager Policy, Advocacy and Standards at the <a href=\"https:\/\/faaa.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAAA<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Younger says he&#8217;s excited about the high calibre of talent coming up through the universities and tertiary education institutions at a critical time for the profession.<\/p>\n<p>He says the Challenge is an important part of the firm&#8217;s efforts &#8220;&#8230;to identify, nurture and advance the next generation of financial advisers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Handreck currently works part-time at Melbourne-based financial planning firm, <a href=\"https:\/\/belay.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belay Advisory<\/a> and after she graduates she will start full-time there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Australia\u2019s next generation of financial planners shone at the 16th Annual Entireti University Challenge in Melbourne with a total of 169 financial planning students, in 91 teams representing 13 tertiary education institutions, participating in this year\u2019s event.
