Based at AIA Australia’s head office in Melbourne, Ward will take on the role from Eleanor Ottaviano who has moved into a business transformation role following the recent acquisition of CommInsure in Australia and Sovereign in New Zealand.

Ward will join AIA’s executive team and brings 15 years experience in Human Resource and Organisation Development to the role, including eight years with BP in leadership and capability development roles and development manager roles with Prudential Group.

AIA Australia and New Zealand CEO Damien Mu said he is delighted to welcome Ward.

“Our people are the ones that live and breathe our purpose to make a difference in people’s lives every day, and ensure we deliver on our promise to our customers and partners,” Mu said.

“Supporting our people to be their best is a critical responsibility and commitment we must deliver on as an organisation,” he added.
