RI Attracts Tech-Savvy Advisers

Strong business growth opportunities and customised technology solutions have attracted three new practices to RI Advice (RI), the group said.

The OnePath-owned advice group, formerly known as RetireInvest, says it now has 266 advisers working across 132 firms.

Kevin Anderson, whose Chatswood based practice has recently rejoined RI, cited the strong technology solutions and the expertise to assist in growing the business as some of the reasons for making the transition.

“I came back to RI after five years and found a dealer group reinvigorated.  There were significant opportunities to help my business grow and to leverage technology to drive real efficiencies in my business,” said Mr Anderson.

Similarly, Des Young, who joined RI from Insight Investment Services (part of the DKM Group) said he was attracted to RI by “the levels of expertise shown by the dealership team and the wealth of resources that they have available, especially in the areas of software and technology support.”

Responding to the new recruits Peter Ornsby, RI’s Head of Practice Development, stated:  “All of the offices joining us have commented on the wealth of resources and support available from RI to grow the top and bottom lines of their businesses in preparation for 2012 and beyond.

“We have made things more seamless for advisers and our customised Xplan is proving to be a strong drawcard to the group as a good software system can be the difference between servicing 200 or 400 clients without hiring additional resources.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with these new groups and we see their appointments as a further vote of confidence in our ability to provide business growth for motivated planners.”
