New Online Tool for Pricing the Value of Advice

A new solution that assists advisers price the value of their advice will be going live this week.

Launched by Elixir Consulting in order to cater to advice practices transitioning to fee for service, the new ‘Pricing Advice Program‘ is presented by Elixir as a ‘…comprehensive practice management solution designed to assist advisers determine the value of their advice and the fees which reflect that value.’

Following the July 2010 release of the book Pricing Advice (see Pricing Advice Book Launch), the program of the same name is intended to offer advisers a practical solution that brings the pricing methodology to life and assists them to transform their business to a fee for service model.

The program provides two alternatives for advisers seeking assistance:

  • The Online ‘DIY’ version is an e-learning program that advisers can complete in their own time which includes sound files, calculators and the templates needed to build their unique pricing model and implement it throughout their business.  Users can also benchmark their pricing against their peers in the program.
  • A ‘Supported Program’ that complements the online resource by including the support of Elixir’s business coaches to assist advisers with making a successful transition to fees.

Elixir Consulting MD Sue Viskovic said, “Between the consultants at Elixir, we have a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience in assisting financial planners to create an effective pricing model. We know what works, and we know how to support advisers in their journey to achieve great results for their business and their clients.”

Ms Viskovic, who will facilitate a master class on this topic at the FPA 2010 National Conference next week, is an advocate for the argument that advisers must act sooner rather than later in the countdown to 1 July 2012 to ensure they hit the ground running in a fee for service environment.
