A lifetime policy discount is being used to entice customers to sign-up to a new online life insurance solution offered by the National Australia Bank.
The latest direct product to be launched to market is available online via the NAB’s customer website as well as over the phone. Provided by MLC, NAB’s Essential life insurance suite offers life, critical illness and injury cover. Currently, only the Life policy is available online, while customers can apply for the other covers over the phone.
To mark the launch of the product, customers who take out an NAB Essential Life insurance policy before 31 October 2014 will receive a 10% premium discount for the life of the policy.
There are no medicals required to take out the cover, but a pre-existing condition clause does apply for critical illness and injury covers. Policy holders are also eligible to access MLC’s Best Doctor’s service.
NAB Retail Wealth Product Executive General Manager, David Hackett, said the product was designed to make it simpler for Australians to protect their family’s future.
“The launch of NAB Essential Life marks the first time our customers can apply for and receive life insurance protection quickly online at nab.com.au, and is an important part of our strategy to make quality financial advice and services accessible to more Australians,” Mr Hackett said.
