FPA Professionals Congress Rescheduled

The FPA is rescheduling its annual FPA Professionals Congress to November, when it will take place in-person at the ICC in Sydney.

A statement from the association says the congress will be held on 23 and 24 November 2022, “…returning congress to its traditional timeframe.”

The flagship event was originally planned for 7-8 April 2022, but following conversations with members about the current Covid situation and the timing of the congress, it was decided that the event would be held later in the year.

Sarah Abood, CEO of the FPA, says members have expressed a strong desire to get together and network with peers in person.

“At the same time, however, a number of members expressed concerns about health, safety and potential risks to business continuity, particularly impacting those travelling from interstate.

“As a result, the FPA made the decision to postpone the event to November, when we hope that as many members as possible can attend.”

The association adds that in the meantime, it is putting together a program of state-based events covering the mainland capitals, “…that will give FPA members the opportunity to network with peers and obtain professional development without crossing state lines, in the current financial year.”  More information on these events will be made available shortly.

The FPA also notes that both the 2022 Future2 Wheel Classic and Future2 Ultimate Hiking Challenge, which usually take place around the same time as congress, will continue as planned in April 2022.

It says this is an opportunity for members to test their endurance while helping make a difference to young Australians in need. Click here for registrations.

Members who have already registered for the FPA Professionals Congress will be automatically rolled over to November, unless they request a refund. The early bird offer will be extended to 30 September 2022.
