Marloo Launches AI Assistant Across Whole Client Book

AI-powered platform for financial advisers, Marloo, has launched Ask Marloo, which it says enables advisers to ask questions across their whole client book and get an answer in seconds, sourced from every meeting, document and email on file.

The company says that Ask Marloo aims to lift the capacity of advice businesses to help clients by compressing the amount of time it takes for advisers and team members to get across a client’s financial position, insurances and investments, and advice needs.

Kailee Maloney …it enables advisers to search for information, draft emails and ask questions, even questions that they previously could not ask before.

It says leveraging AI and large language model technology, Ask Marloo accesses data from across a business’ digital ecosystem to provide tailored responses, based on specific context.

“Advisers and team members can ask questions and, in minutes, receive a response that is informed by client relationship management systems, meeting notes, documents, emails and external sources. It eliminates the need for advisers to remember every detail about clients and provides more accurate, consistent and valuable insights.”

The company says that for advisers who have acquired a business or client book, or are inheriting clients from another adviser, Ask Marloo can also remove the need for lengthy handover processes by providing a detailed client overview on demand, advice records, and any outstanding tasks that need completing.

Hardy Michel, Co-founder of Marloo, says many advice businesses have detailed client records but still depend on the memory of advisers and team members.

He says financial advice currently runs on memory “…advisers carry their clients with them, remembering what they said three years ago, what’s truly important to them and why they made certain decisions.

“That personal relationship is the foundation of the advice proposition, but it is also holding firms back from helping more people.”

Advisers can gain an immediate understanding of clients … and get an update on activity, potential issues that may require attention, and opportunities…

Michel says Ask Marloo “…does work for advisers, it doesn’t just record it. Advisers can gain an immediate understanding of clients, including clients they haven’t met yet, and get an update on activity, potential issues that may require attention, and opportunities.”

Kailee Maloney, head of Australia for Marloo, said Ask Marloo worked the whole client book, alongside a new home screen, enabling advisers to search for information, draft emails and ask questions, even questions that they previously could not ask before.

Some examples include:

  • Which clients have insurance cover that is renewing this month?
  • If interest rates rise this month, which of my clients will be exposed, and what will change for each of them?
  • Provide a list of clients who are expecting an inheritance or windfall, and who I have not contacted in the past three months?

Ask Marloo is fully integrated into the Marloo platform.
