Iress has appointed Daniel Ashley to the newly created position of Chief AI Officer – a role designed to boost the firm’s strategic focus on artificial intelligence.
He joins Iress from Amazon Web Services where he was the AI/Machine Learning and Data Specialist for Enterprise Accounts. Prior to this he held senior digital transformation roles at Westpac and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Ashley will lead a cross-functional team focused on leveraging AI to enhance product performance, automate workflows, and unlock new insights for the firm’s clients, particularly across financial advice and investment management.
He joined the firm on 4 August, is based in Sydney, and reports to Iress’ COO, Justin Schmitt.
