Professional Investment Services (PIS) has announced appointments to three newly created management positions within the dealer group network.

According to PIS, the new roles have been created to reinforce last year’s restructure of the business into three key divisions:

  • Advice
  • Services
  • Product and Alliances

Although the positions were also advertised externally, all three appointments have been filled by current staff:

Brett Dalton has been appointed as National Manager – Network Development.  His brief is to continue to grow the number of accountancy practices associated with PIS, renew relationships with related professional bodies and implement strategies to strengthen the relationships further.

Tara Cunneen has been appointed to the role of National Manager – Adviser Relations. PIS says Ms Cunneen’s knowledge gained as a BDM will be advantageous to strengthen the effective delivery of adviser services between professional standards and the dealer group’s advice team.

Dean Arney becomes National Manager – Monitoring and Supervision.  The position includes a number of responsibilities including: ongoing monitoring and supervision of the PIS network, coordinating the national audit program, monitoring of share trades, breach management, conflicts and anti-money laundering.

Commenting on the new management roles, PIS Managing Director, Grahame Evans said his Group’s key focal points for 2010 are to manage relationships, protect the licences, grow revenue and streamline the business structure:

“In line with these objectives, these three new appointments assist in streamlining the business and developing the adviser network relationships further,” said Mr Evans.
