Zurich has announced a senior marketing appointment and two recent BDM appointments within its Life Risk Team:
Former CommInsure product manager, Richard Dunkerley, has been appointed Zurich’s Marketing Manager – Life Risk. Mr Dunkerley has over 15 years’ experience in the life insurance industry, and has been charged with expanding the distribution of Zurich’s risk products, via independent intermediaries.
Recently appointed to Business Development Manager roles have been Richard Hopwood and Ben Bancroft.
Mr Hopwood will be managing adviser relationships for Zurich in Queensland, while Mr Bancroft, who has spent time as an adviser at Matrix Planning Solutions and in BDM roles at ING and CommInsure, will be based in New South Wales.
Zurich advises both BDM appointments are additional to existing numbers and reflects the rapid growth of its life risk portfolio, where the insurer points to a doubling of its death and TPD new business since the launch of its LifeXpress online business solution in the first half of 2009.
