ANZ has appointed Colonial First State exec, Paul Barrett, to the newly created role of General Manager Advice & Distribution. The role will report directly to ANZ Wealth Managing Director John Van Der Wielen.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Van Der Wielen said: “We plan to aggressively grow our wealth business in Australia so it’s pleasing to appoint somebody of Paul’s calibre to lead advice and distribution.”
In the role, Mr Barrett will be responsible for all ANZ’s financial planner and advice distribution networks, including aligned and open market dealer groups, and other alternative channels.
Mr Barrett will commence his role with ANZ in April.
