Campaign to Differentiate FPA Members

Consumers will soon be exposed to new messaging from the Financial Planning Association (FPA), designed to set its members apart from the rest of the industry.

The FPA will launch its much anticipated national advertising campaign this month, positioning the FPA brand as a ‘mark of trust’.

“Consumers don’t know where to turn for advice they can rely on,” said Mark Rantall, FPA CEO.  “Our advertising campaign will help consumers find a  financial planner they can trust while providing recognition for the high standard and professionalism of our members.”

The campaign associates financial planners with doctors, lawyers, pharmacists and pilots, utilising the tag line: ‘Not all financial planners are the same, always look for a member of the FPA’.  The advertisements will run nationally across a range of media, including free-to-air tv, for five weeks from 18 September.

Now, more than ever, it is critically important to have a qualified professional manage your finances

“Now, more than ever, it is critically important to have a qualified professional manage your finances and the FPA brand represents a mark of trust for consumers,” Mr Rantall said.

“This is far from an empty promise when you consider that in 2010, of the 112 investigations undertaken and 20 individuals banned by ASIC, not a single one of these were FPA members,” he added.
