Australia’s top life insurance professionals have been recognised at an awards ceremony held in Sydney last week.
The Financial Services Council Life Insurance Awards were presented at a black-tie function coinciding with the Council’s annual Life Insurance Conference. Now in their third year, the Awards are presented to individuals and organisations across four categories, in recognition of outstanding achievement in the life insurance industry.
The winners were:
• Consumer Innovation Award winner: Elyse Horne of Suncorp
• Young Achiever Award winner: Eleanor Hartmann of NAB
• Leadership Award winner: Sean McCormack of NAB
• ‘Big Thinking’ Award winner: Richard Dunkerley of Zurich
In addition, a special award was presented to TAL’s outgoing Group CEO, Jim Minto, for his outstanding contribution to the life insurance industry.
Addressing Mr Minto at the Conference the following day, FSC CEO, Sally Loane, said: “Your leadership and stewardship of the Australian Life Insurance industry is legendary – and only matched by your sartorial elegance.”
