Former AMP senior exec, Steve Helmich, has re-emerged as the new Chair of Affinia, which has also announced a new head of the firm.
While Helmich has been appointed Chair to the Affinia Board, Marcus O’Sullivan will replace Craig Parker as Head of the risk specialist licensee firm.
TAL Group CEO Brett Clark said “It is crucial that our board has strong governance structures in place and I am confident Steve will provide unique expertise and insight for our Affinia business to help drive our growth ambition.”
Meanwhile, O’Sullivan, who has been an executive with TAL since 2012, will commence as Head of Affinia, from 1 November.
Clark said “Marcus is passionate about financial advice and has over 20 years’ experience [in] a number of senior management positions across life companies, reinsurers and dealer groups, including chief underwriter and director of life-risk.
In thanking Parker for his services, Clark also noted “We are currently working with Craig on new opportunities within TAL.”
