A former director of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has signed with a boutique Queensland planning firm in an effort to expand the group’s adviser numbers.

Fraser Jack, who is also a former national chair of the AFA’s GenXT initiative, has joined myonlineadvisers after selling his own Queensland based financial advice business late last year.

In the role, Jack will work with advisers to expand the group’s service offering and grow the adviser base of the business which was founded by James Sutherland in 2012 with a focus on helping advisers use technology to innovate their business and improve client relationships.

NAB Rejigs Private Client Advice Model

More than 60 financial advisers at NAB will be involved in an internal move between licensees held by the bank as as a result of changes in its high net worth advice and private banking model.

The 60 advisers will move from NAB Private to JB Were with the former to move out of financial advice to focus on pure private banking while JB Were will offer specialist private wealth advice services, taking referrals from the NAB Private business.

JBWere, Chief Executive, Justin Greiner, said the bank has researched the shift with its clients who indicated they wanted specialist expertise from private bankers and wealth advisers working in separate roles.
