MDRT First Vice President and financial adviser Ross Vanderwolf has become one of three advisers in AMP’s advice network to receive an inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award from the group.

AMP presented the Awards to Geoff Cattach of AMP Financial Planning, Max Lewis of Hillross, and Vanderwolf of Charter Financial Planning at its annual Advice Summit, in recognition of their contribution to the advice community and their philanthropic work over many years.

In presenting the Awards, AMP Group Executive Advice, Jack Regan said many of the group’s advisers were pillars of their local communities and it was important to recognise them and the role they played in those communities.

“By earning the respect of their peers and the thanks of their clients and communities these advisers help show the way forward for our profession,” Regan said, adding that each of the Award recipients had proved themselves by successfully guiding their clients and their practices over decades of change.

In recognising the efforts of the three advisers, AMP stated that Cattach has been an adviser for more than 50 years and still retains his first client from 1965, Vanderwolf was well known for his mentoring work through the AFA and MDRT, while Lewis had been a long-term advocate for better superannuation and pension legislation.
