New MDRT Australia Chair, Amanda Cassar

The new MDRT Executive Committee took effect this month, while Australian advisers have stepped up to the plate in taking on new roles within the global organisation.

In Australia, Queensland adviser, Amanda Cassar is taking on the role of Australian Chair of MDRT.

Melbourne adviser and new MDRT Oceania Chair, Jenny Brown

Cassar replaces Melbourne-based adviser Jenny Brown, who has accepted the position of Oceania Chair, which was vacated by Adelaide adviser, Adam McCann.

Newly-confirmed Chairs of MDRT’s Australian state committees include:

  • New South Wales Chair: Terry Johnson
  • Queensland Chair: Kent McDonald
  • Victoria Chair: Nick Longo

SA and WA chair appointments are still to be confirmed.

These appointees are all full-time practising financial advisers, each of whom seeks to give back to the sector and to their peers by way of involvement within the MDRT organisation.

2021 MDRT Executive Committee

At the global level, UK adviser, Ian Green, has become the 95th President of MDRT, replacing 2019/20 President, Regina Bedoya.

Serving more than 65,000 qualifying adviser members around the world, the 2020/21 MDRT Executive Committee comprises:

  • President: Ian Green (UK)
  • First Vice President: Randy Scritchfield (US)
  • Second Vice President: Peggy Tsai (Taiwan)
  • Secretary: Greg Gagne (US) – newly appointed
  • Immediate Past President: Regina Bedoya (US)
