Adviser Awards Finalists Named

The three finalists in the 2022 Adviser of the Year Award along with the six finalists in the 2022 Female Excellence in Advice Award have been named.

A statement from the AFA and Zurich says the advisers nominated for the Adviser of the Year Award were measured on a number of factors including their leadership qualities, innovation, customer focus and professional excellence.

Chief Distribution Officer, of Zurich’s Life & Investments, Kieran Forde, says that as an ongoing partner of the prestigious award, “…we are pleased to provide a platform that recognises and celebrates these talented individuals who drive positive change through their leadership, innovation, customer-centricity and commitment to professional excellence and financial literacy.”

AFA CEO, Phil Anderson, says the AFA and Zurich have supported this award for nearly 20 years, helping showcase outstanding advisers from across the profession, and this year has been no exception.

Female Excellence in Advice Award

Meanwhile the Female Excellence in Advice Award, which is celebrating its 10th year, is a joint initiative by the AFA and TAL that recognises women in financial advice who are making a significant contribution to their profession, their community and their clients.

TAL General Manager, Retail Distribution, Niall McConville says the award continues to recognise outstanding female advisers.

“We hope in celebrating the achievements and unique perspectives of each of today’s finalists we can encourage more women to become financial advisers and in turn encourage more Australians to engage with their finances.”

Both sets of finalists will  present to judging panels in mid-September with the FEIA finalists presenting about their business achievements, community involvement and views on mentoring, education, gender diversity and future vision.

The Adviser of the Year finalists will present on their business achievements, community involvement and approach to mentoring others, as well as being able to demonstrate and articulate successful client outcomes.

The winners of both awards will be announced at a gala event that will close the 2022 AFA Thrive Conference on the Gold Coast.
