CALI CEO Christine Cupitt  welcomed Gooderick as “…the addition of a highly credible, capable and accomplished female leader to our CALI Board.”

She notes that Gooderick is well known and well respected in the industry “…and a wonderful fit as CALI continues to evolve as the trusted voice of life insurers in Australia.”

Gooderick has extensive experience managing international projects and large diverse teams. She joined ClearView in late 2020 after almost 25 years at RGA Reinsurance where she helped drive the group’s global expansion into Asia and Europe (see:ClearView Wealth Appoints CEO.)

Gooderick says ClearView is proud to be a foundational member of CALI “…and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing work CALI is doing to promote the value of life insurance and to achieve better outcomes for Australian life insurance customers and the broader community.”

Finding Ways to Make Life Insurance More Inclusive

Kresh Wright …passionate about delivering for vulnerable communities in a sustainable way

Swiss Re Head of Life & Health Australia & New Zealand, Kresh Wright, has led multi-functional teams at Swiss Re for the past 15 years, across several global markets including Australia and New Zealand, the UK and Japan.

Wright says she is passionate about delivering for vulnerable communities in a sustainable way, which aligns with CALI’s purpose and mission (see: TPD Product Needs Industry’s Urgent Attention.)

“Together, we can find ways to make life insurance more inclusive, which will boost community resilience.”

The council says the life insurance industry has strongly endorsed it since it was established in late 2022 and that senior executives from across the CALI membership have provided their expertise through the CALI Board and as member representatives.

Cupitt says the council’s mission is to ensure Australians “…of all walks of life view our industry as accessible, understandable and trusted. Increasing the diversity of our Board and member representatives is critical to our success.”
