TAL has announced the course program for July to December 2023 for its financial adviser education platform, TAL Risk Academy.

The insurer says the tailored program introduces six new courses and builds on strong uptake in the first half of the year, including over 1,700 advisers enrolled during May’s Ethics Month courses.

Beau Riley … supports advisers in gaining practical skills and insights to help them navigate today’s dynamic financial advice landscape

TAL General Manager, Retail Sales and New Business, Beau Riley, says that through a blend of interactive workshops, online resources, and networking opportunities, the academy “…continues to support advisers in gaining practical skills and insights to help them navigate today’s dynamic financial advice landscape.”

He adds that TAL’s ambition is to make life insurance better understood and valued “…and our partnership with advisers is important to achieving that, while ensuring more Australians have the right protection in place.”

Riley says they have collaborated with industry experts to develop a program that encompasses a wide range of topics, so the risk academy “…can serve as a cornerstone in fulfilling the education needs of advisers, including meeting their CPD hour requirements.”

Advice in the Postmodern World Masterclass

New to the course guide is Advice in the Postmodern World Masterclass, and a Council of Australian Life Insurers’ session, alongside the continuation of the AskAnExpert monthly Tech Series, Mental Health series, and ongoing support of Professional Year.

He notes the new “…industry-first masterclass Advice in the Postmodern World, is a unique opportunity to hear from the TAL Technical Team as they examine the recommendations of the Quality of Advice Review and its impacts on advisers.”

The Future of Insurance Webinar will be the first time TAL is joined by CALI CEO, Christine Cupitt, to discuss the future of the life insurance industry.
