The FAAA Congress in Adelaide from 20 to 22 November will be the association’s first as a unified professional body.

The association says that under the theme, ‘Grow together’, the congress will host a range of sessions “…designed to inform and update financial planners on the issues facing the profession as well as provide practical tools and information enabling them to work more closely with clients and their changing needs, particularly in the post-pandemic environment.”

FAAA CEO Sarah Abood says the congress is the largest national event in the calendar for the financial advice profession.

She adds the event offers an opportunity for members to connect with their peers, gain insights and knowledge from a packed workshop program, and have fun at the many networking and social functions.

“A feature at this year’s Congress is the breakfast hosted by the Inspire community of women in financial advice, on 21 November – including an exciting guest speaker.”

Abood says the CFP Professional Connect specialist workshop will return this year the day before the congress starts “…providing high-quality technical content in a session hosted by a panel of leading CFP professionals and subject matter experts who will put delegates’ knowledge, experience and creativity to the test.”

There will also be Pre-Congress sessions during the afternoon before the opening, including the Gen Next Session for paraplanners, emerging professionals and students, and the FAAA Professional Practice Session, focused on succession planning and how to retain key people in your business.

Early bird registrations have opened, priced at $1,150 for members and $1,850 for non-members, and will close on 1 September.
