iExtend has announced the appointment of Peter Cassidy as its new Chairman.
The company says Cassidy brings a wealth of experience to the role “…at a time of significant growth and opportunity.”
It notes Cassidy was the founder of AMP’s private capital business in 1993 and in 2001 he founded private equity firm The Sentient Group before retiring in 2017.
iExtend CEO David Sarkis says Cassidy joins at a busy and pivotal moment “…where we have the opportunity to scale our business with the adviser support we have built and further develop our enterprise solutions to elevate our … offering for licensees.”
As Riskinfo reported in November, ASIC had required iExtend to apply for an Australian Financial Services licence and the company is awaiting formal confirmation this has been granted (see: ASIC Accepts iExtend EU).
iExtend says an AFSL “…provides clarity as to how iExtend can participate in the industry as well as providing further opportunities to educate and inform advisers about the offer.”
