TAL has promoted its GM Sales and Marketing, Alexis Denby, to lead its new Consumer and Growth Team.

The insurer says that as General Manager, Consumer and Growth, Denby will lead TAL’s direct and advised customer growth initiatives “…ensuring TAL’s products and services remain relevant, valued and accessible for more Australians.”

TAL says Denby has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and sales and a track record of driving customer-focused innovation and growth.

Since joining TAL in 2014, she has held a number of senior leadership roles in digital, marketing, sales and strategy. Before her current role, she served as the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, where she managed customer acquisition and retention across multiple TAL brands and distribution channels, as well as overseeing the evolution of TAL’s customer and advisor digital experiences.

She led the Westpac Life P&L during its integration with TAL.

Gavin Teichner, Chief Executive – Individual Life, says Denby’s appointment reflects TAL’s  focus on meeting the evolving protection needs of Australians.

He says her leadership and expertise have been “…critical in positioning TAL as a market leader in the insurance industry,” and notes that she and her team are “…focussed on what Australians want and need from us as an insurer, and are working to develop even clearer, more targeted products and services for our direct and retail customers.” 

Denby says that as the expectations and needs of Australian consumers change “…we must innovate to meet them – from strengthening our partnerships to reach and help more Australians, sharpening our focus on the distinct needs of Australians throughout their lifetimes, or working to deliver a more meaningful digital insurance experiences.”
